Me:
I graduated in 2005 with a BA in Computer Science from Boston University and worked for Microsoft in Redmond, Washington for 3 years on Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008. I quit in January 2008 to start Localytics.
I have two hobbies of note:
- Software - I started in 1988 with an 8 MHZ 286 with 320K of RAM and a CGA video card (go Cyan!). My days started there and would include: Hacking up Gorilla and Nibbles, playing almost all the Apogee games, war dialing numbers in Newton, MA, writing Z80 assembly apps during math class on my TI-83, and uncountably many hours playing Medievia.
Today I mostly play with mobile devices and I am hoping all of this work pays off in the form of a successful business so I can take that to every adult who told me I “spent too much time on the computer.”
- Motor Sports - My less techie side. My motor sports hobby is centered around the race track. I’ve had a little of everything, track bikes, track cars, muscle cars, GT cars, etc. Currently I am obsessed with cutting weight and my lightly track-prepped Miata is hovering a bit over 2000 pounds while my Stealth is almost unrecognizable as a street car with all my reductions.
